I have made some changes to the OS X asterisk installer. It now installs into /opt/local to make it easier to manage. It now puts a copy of the uninstall script in your home directory as well. Get it here.
MD5 (Asterisk.dmg) = fdd9f24d9b97100f0aa26afdfa267f30

Hi
Why not join the folks at Astmasters.net instead of duplicating the effort.
I know that the Astmasters folks are working on a new installer which will include more than just Asterisk itself. However, they focus on stability and want everything tested in various configurations, different Macs, OS versions etc.
Also, I noticed your build is incompatible with some features of the GUI tools made by Sunrise and the Astmasters community.
So, all in all, perhaps you should get in touch with them and help them with porting and/or testing so that we end users get a single installer that supports all the GUI tools and is tested throroughly.

Sounds good, I’m going to update the installer to 1.2.0 stable, then I will see if I can get in contact with anyone there. Chances are they are working on an installer of their own which will work with their nice tools and be updated to 1.2.0 rendering my code obsolete anyway. In other good news I plan to buy an intel powered powerbook or ibook as soon as they are in stores and should be able to make a fat binary that week. The reason I made the installer was because Astmasters wasn’t staying up to date and I wanted the realtime portions of asterisk, something their installer doesn’t have yet.
